Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Plan Check Correct ("Plan Check Correct," "we," "us") collects when you use the website at plancheckcorrect.com, including the correction-letter tool and the Site Plan Creator (together, the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Plan Check Correct is operated by Dahlstrom Technologies LLC, doing business as Plan Check Correct, 47 Calle Mattis, San Clemente, CA 92673. Contact: office@solarpoolservicesinc.com.

1. The short version

• Your projects, uploaded files and drawings are saved in your own browser on your device. They are stored on our servers only if you create an account and choose to save a project to it.
• When you ask the Service to read or answer a correction letter, the letter, the pages you upload and the project details you enter are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce the results.
• If you load an aerial photo, the address you type is sent to a public map lookup service to find the property.
• We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Correction letters and plans you upload (PDFs and images) and comments you paste. These often contain property addresses, permit numbers, owner or applicant names, contractor details, building layouts and dimensions.
• Project details you type, such as jurisdiction, address, permit number, scope of work, answers to the tool's questions, and your company's standard practices.
• Title block and contact details you add to responses or site plans, such as company name, license number, phone, email, owner name, APN and a logo.
• Drawings and measurements you create in the Site Plan Creator.
• Feedback and update requests you send through our feedback form, which is a Google Form (see section 5).

If you create an account

• Account details: your email address, and your name and company if you add them.
• Projects and files you choose to save to your account, including plan PDFs and images.
• Records of your choices: when you accepted the Terms and which version, and whether you asked for product update emails.

Information collected automatically

• Technical request information. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes your IP address, browser type and the pages you request to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We use your IP address to apply usage limits on AI requests. We have turned off detailed request logging; error logs we keep do not contain your document contents.
• Bot check. When you ask for a sign-in link, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the request comes from a person and not an automated program. It processes your IP address and technical information about your browser for this purpose.
• Browser storage and cookies. The Service uses your browser's local storage and IndexedDB to save your projects and settings on your device. If you sign in, we set one essential cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies or tracking pixels.
• Fonts and code libraries. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and PDF tools from cdnjs (Cloudflare) and jsDelivr, so those providers receive your IP address and browser information when the page loads. Your files are opened inside your browser; they are not sent to these providers.

3. How we use information

• To provide the Service: read your letter, draft responses, checklists and explanations, draw clouds and notes on your plans, and build site plans and PDFs.
• To find a property and load an aerial photo when you ask for one.
• To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and control costs (for example, limiting how many AI requests can come from one place).
• To respond to your feedback, questions and privacy requests.
• To send you updates if you ask for them through the updates form.

We do not use your documents to train AI models, and we do not allow our AI provider to train on them under our current settings (see section 4).

4. AI processing

The Service uses the Anthropic API (Claude) to read correction letters and draft answers. When you use these features, we send Anthropic the letter text, images of the pages you upload, and the project details you entered. We do not send your street address in drafting requests, although an address printed on an uploaded letter will be included in the image of that page.

Under Anthropic's current commercial terms for its API:

• Anthropic does not use API inputs and outputs to train its models by default.
• Anthropic deletes API inputs and outputs from its systems within 30 days, except where it keeps them longer to enforce its usage policies (up to 2 years for flagged content) or to comply with the law.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only what they need:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or others, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to information transferred.

We do not sell personal information and do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Where your projects are stored and how long we keep information

• Projects, uploads and drawings stay in your browser until you delete them in the Service or clear your browser's site data. We cannot see, recover or back them up. If you clear your browser or switch devices, they will not follow you.
• AI requests: we do not store the content of AI requests on our servers (projects you save to an account are stored as described below). Anthropic's retention is described in section 4.
• Server error logs: kept by Cloudflare for about 3 days. We also keep our own short log of technical problems (the type of problem, the page and a short technical note, not your documents or email address) for up to 30 days.
• Feedback form responses: kept in our Google account for up to 24 months, then deleted.

If you have an account:

• Projects and files you save to your account are kept until you delete them or delete your account. When you delete them, they are removed from our active database right away. We keep weekly backups, and our database provider keeps short-term recovery copies, so deleted data can remain in those copies for up to 30 days before it is gone.
• Account details (email, name, company, settings) are kept until you delete your account.
• Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form. Sign-in sessions last up to 30 days.
• Records that you accepted our Terms (date, version and how you accepted) are kept after you delete your account so we can show what was agreed, but they are no longer linked to your name or email.

7. Your choices and rights

• Delete your projects at any time using the delete options in the Service or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
• Account holders can update their details, download a copy of their account data, turn product emails on or off, and delete their account from the account page at plancheckcorrect.com/account.
• Ask us what information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing office@solarpoolservicesinc.com. If you don't have an account, your projects are stored on your device, so we usually hold little or nothing about you beyond feedback form entries.
• Opt out of updates by replying to any update email or contacting us.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

8. Security

We use HTTPS for all connections, keep our AI provider key on the server so it is never sent to your browser, restrict our AI and lookup endpoints to requests from our own website, apply usage limits, use one-time sign-in links instead of passwords, check that sign-in requests come from a person, keep regular backups, store sign-in tokens only in hashed form, check on our server that every saved project and file belongs to the signed-in account before showing it, and use browser security protections such as a content security policy and integrity checks on third-party code. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Because projects are stored on your device, anyone with access to your browser can see them, so protect your device and clear site data on shared computers.

9. Children

The Service is for contractors, owner-builders and other adults. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Do Not Track

Our site does not track you across other websites, so it does not change its behavior in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. If we make material changes, we will provide notice on the site and by email to account holders before the changes take effect.
